Cancun International Airport isn't very big. Maybe I'm mistaken because I arrived there at night. The customs officers on the passport control work very fast. There were only 4 of them and in one hour or less they checked all passengers of a big transatlantic boeing. When you pass customs control there is an interesting system of checking your baggage: you press a button, if there is a green light you pass without checking, if red then customs officers will ask you to open your luggage and will inspect it carefully. There is no system when green or red light comes on, it depends on how lucky you are:)
When you go out from the Cancun international airport there is the representatives of different travel agencies. If your friends meet you in Cancun or you need to take a taxi you need to go out from the airport to the parking lot because they do not have access to the meeting zone. Only those people who attended a course of special lectures and passed the exam have access to the meeting zone.
